Which one of these should be good for my undergrad thesis?

I'll start undergrad thesis tomorrow. And my supervisor wants me to select on of the following topics as a start. I wonder which one should I select.

The topics are: 1. Compact descriptor on visual search 2. Deep learning for visual recognition 3. Perceptual compression for High Efficiency Video Coding (HEVC)

I find both 1 and 2 interesting as well as similar, but not sure how good the field is. Can anyone help me find the better one of the three?

Aside from these I can select other topics if I change my supervisor. These includes, ECG signal Analysis, De-speckling of Ultrasonographic Images and/or things related to EEG signals.

The much needed help wanted....
