Teaching a time table by daily rotation x

What does it mean when a time table is rotated every e.g. 3 days.

Does it mean the periods teached on monday are also teached on thursday

Or

does it mean the periods teached on monday are teached on tuesday, wednesday and then next sunday, monday, tuesday.
