How to cite an author mentioned in a book (Chicago Style)

I need to cite a sentence by an author that is mentioned in a book without providing a source. How do I correctly do this in Chicago?

Here's my psuedo-citation:

“Broodthaers, Marcel mentioned in Crow, Thomas E. In The Rise of the Sixties: American and European Art in the Era of Dissent, 177. Laurence King Publishing, 1996.”

And what about in-text citation? Is this correct: (Broodthaers 1996)?
