Inquiry regarding Ph.D admission through Open University in India

I am working as an Asst. Professot in one of the leading Management institute. I want to pursue the Ph.D in management, so I have lots of options to complete doctorate degree. But I want to complete the doctorate through Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), because of qualitative research work.

Can you suggest me, that should I go for Ph.D through IGNOU or I have to take admission in regular university.Also suggest if I am going to complete it through IGNOU, so what kinds of obstacles I have to face in academics field as I will have the degree of open University.
