Data Science track in Statistics Department of ICME at Stanford?

My ultimate goal is to obtain a Ph.D. in Statistics and work as a Data Scientist (no preference between industry or academia). The curriculum for the MS Statistics, Data Science track, and that for MS Computational & Mathematical Engineering, Data Science Track are exactly the same. Do you have any advice for applying to one over another? What factors should I consider in making such a decision?
