Will not contrasting my paper with other papers hurt my chances of getting admitted to a grad school?

I worked on a independent research project during my free time in college. Nobody guided me and nobody assisted me. I did develop the algorithm but I only tried it out on few datasets and compared it with some leading algorithms(Papers for which I could find implementation online) on the same datasets and the results were great. Now I am working in job and barely have time to go back and work on this paper.

I wish to apply to US colleges for spring for MS in CS. As I don't have time currently and have even lost the source code in a system crash. I am currently thinking to just push the draft of the paper I prepared in college(Which I luckily saved in Google drive to share with someone) to Arxiv. The paper just lists my results on 4 ~ 5 datasets and nothing else. Will it make me look bad? Should I upload it and mention it in SOP anyways hoping that something is better than nothing. I am hoping to finish this paper once I join college again.

Also what should my affiliation be in that paper?

The problem I am tackling is a very old problem but even in 2014 I saw a couple of papers providing alternative solutions to this problem.
