Part Time PhD in Mechanical / Civil Engineering

I work full time in Cincinnati...I have an MS in mechanical...I have been thinking about getting into a PhD program with a goal of joining academia later in life..However I do not want to leave my current job...I was wondering if people here have successfully obtained PhD in engineering while working full time...If yes, can you please let me know which US universities accept part time PhD student s
