I have 3 years of experience in the Data Analytics industry, and i am familiar with SAS, SQL and advanced excel.
I am considering joining a master's degree in Information Systems to further advance my career, and become more proficient with new software and basically broaden my horizons. My bachelor's degree is in mechatronics, and I had few courses related to the field (Operations Research, AI, Neural Networks). My GPA is 6.5.
I was considering between a degree in the United States. The universities are promising, and I believe there are good work opportunities there afterwards, but the tuition fees are a big barrier for me, for I am not in a comfortable financial position.
I am also considering Germany as an option. I have basic degree in the German language, and I do see some promising universities and courses for the same.
I wanted help with the following:
I am of currently of the opinion that the courses in germany are more research oriented. Does that mean be more likely to be continuing in academia rather than work in the industry?
What would be the relevance of GPA now that I have 3 years of relevant work experience in the field? I've heard academic credentials are important for a master's degree, and i believe there is no GRE for me to compensate with.
I would really appreciate it if I could get some replies on the same.
I would really appreciate some help with the same.
