Non linear revision

I really need some advice with regards to revising for an exam.

I have a non linear optimisation exam coming up and I feel I understand everything but I am having trouble memorising the many methods we need to know. There are about 10 methods and we need to know each one inside out. I am going to dedicate 4 and a half solid days to this topic. Any idea how to revise for this? What worked for you?

I had the same problem last year with linear algebra where I could not understand and remember the methods. I did very badly in that test. The linear algebra module lasted a year. However for this topic, the test is only on half the years work (one semester) and I have been revising it throughout this semester and I have done much on it already so I am in a better position. But how could I further best position myself?
