What to do if I lose interest in a field quickly?

It seems that I know everything. I worked in many different areas.

In order of lifetime:

  1. Math phys (with some string theorists).

  2. Nonlinear optics.

  3. Stochastic and variational computer science.

  4. Molecular dynamics.

  5. (Number theory - between some of those).

Also I did some calculations about various hydrodynamics problems.

Problem is that none of areas did not interested me much enough to work on it very long. When everything becomes clean to me, I can hardly continue.

I am 27 and I don't know what to do next. I am in a Russian PhD program right now in local university, but it is already boring.

Call it "Will Hunting syndrome" if you like. I have it periodically with a period of about 2-3 years after 18 when I was in string theory.

Changing my university again? Did it 4 times already.
