I want to continue my studies in Tissue Engineering: What material should I start studying?

I am a Biomedical Engineering student. My main research field was Cardiovascular Biomechanics. I want to continue my studies in the field of Tissue Engineering. But I think I need to be prepared. I need some biology knowledge related to the field and then the engineering aspects. What should I start reading? or generally speaking what should I do?
