How to handle negative criticism?

I just developed a project and even had the idea of publishing a paper on it, until my professor who reviewed it said that it looks nothing more than a mini project! My efforts to explain to her that my project is unique have gone deaf! And credit goes to people who had easily outsourced their project and had presented it as if they had developed it! And people who strive day and night, developing projects on their own only get dusted off! While my project guide encourages me to publish a paper on it, I'm still demoralized to do it after this review (her comments keep echoing in my mind!) How should I handle this situation?
