What is expected from a business PhD applicant straight from undergrad?

I plan to do a PhD in Business (Strategy) at HKU or HKUST preferably. Since by the application deadline I will not hold my 3rd year final grades, I'm a bit worried how I can demonstrate a good academic background. I'm studying in the UK, so only my second and third year will count towards my final degree classification (so the last year is even more important). Do you think taking the GRE will help (not all the unis request otherwise)? Has anyone heard about someone getting a PhD offer without holding a degree at application? Thank you for your help!
