Is there a curated list of journals that offer/require peer-review of datasets? [on hold]

Is there a curated list somewhere of academic journals that offer (or require) peer-review of not only the articles, but also the datasets upon the articles are based on? Is this even possible?

Here someone has aked a similar question, but 1 of the 2 links inside this post have become stale.

It is okay to have no clear idea how this validation of academic datasets mentioned in papers can be done, as this is an unresolved problem.

At a minimum, someone should have checked if the dataset is documented properly, with origin and lineage metadata. Evaluate of collection and processing methods. Standardize and make it mandatory to include a header or a companion file (sidecar file, README file), e.g. in a zip container.

Someone with domain expertise should document that they have taken an independent look at the dataset, and Journal editors could coordinate this.

More about validating published data can be read here, Researcher perspectives on publication and peer review of data on page 15. Or here, http://ift.tt/1NZIt45
