reapplying math graduate school as a grad with master degree in physics?

I am concurrently in a physics phd program which I personally do not like as it does not offer the research I am interested. I am interested in math physics and more rigorous approach to physics. I had most of advanced physics courses so far. I also did lots of grad level courses in math and physics as undergrad. Both undergrad and grad GPAs are about 3.6ish. I got my mgre 850(88%) but I am international student who received undergrad in US. What kind of level of math grad school should one apply or what will be a good option?
